Aspiring witches and wizards young and old have queued in bookstores around the world to buy the first copies of ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’, a new book and play that imagines the hero as an adult.
It has been hailed as the publishing sensation of the decade, with record pre-sales and a return to the nostalgia of print.
Widely seen as the eighth Harry Potter instalment of the series that has captivated readers and movie audiences worldwide, the book / play is set 19 years after the end of the last book.
Like many of his fans, Potter has now become an adult with three children and a wife … but unlike them he works at the Ministry of Magic.
‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ is at London’s Palace theatre, until 10 December 2017.
