Knot a boring bridge: Construction on Chinese ‘Lucky Knot’ walkway completed

It’s the next big thing in architecture.

A new bridge shaped like a complicated knot has been constructed in the capital of China’s Hunan Province, Changsha.

Designed by Next Architects, the 600 ft long footbridge features three pedestrian lanes and five crossing points as it connects either end of the city’s Meizi Lake.

Its sinuous shape is said to be inspired by the traditional Chinese ‘good luck knot’.
