The Royal Wootton Bassett Remembrance garden opens as people start to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in our armed forces.

More than 20,000 poppies feature in the memorial to servicemen and women who lost their lives from 1914 to the present day. The 20,000 poppies also includes a newly added section in memory of those who died during the 13-year Afghanistan war.

The market town became famous for its military repatriation processions during our most recent conflicts, but today this is a service to remember all those who have served.
